Your Hosts Tom and Dorothy McLaughlin have lived in the Okanagan for over 30 years. The property was purchased as a flat alfalfa field and over the years has been cultivated into a beautiful tree filled sanctuary. Tom is an avid motorcyclist, touring throughout Canada and the USA. He has been raising exotic parrot type birds for the pet trade for twenty eight years. Dorothy is a lover of horses and dogs. She has been a "puppy walker" for the CNIB and has participated in cross country horse competitions. Visitors to Riverside Trails Bed and Breakfast will get to meet Moon (Smooth Fox Terrier), Azul (Kerry Blue Terrier), Cuervo (Palamino Quarter Horse) and Apache (miniature horse). Tom and Dorothy have travelled extensively visiting such places as: India, Indonesia, Australia, New Zealand, Tahiti, Hawaii, Mexico, Guatemala, Costa Rica, Belize, The Caribbean, Dubai, and Thailand. |
